Interest Calculation

Interest is calculated using the following formula:

Number of days late divided by 365 = A
Unpaid Tax Multiplied by the current interest rate = B
A multiplied by B = Current Interest amount

Example:
73 Days late divided by 365 = 0.2
$1000 unpaid tax x 7% interest rate = 70
0.2 x 70 = 14

The interest is $14 dollars
