General Assistance applications are available during regular business hours at the Town Office. In an emergency you can contact the General Assistance Administrator. Please contact chair of the Select Board if you’re unable to reach GA administrator.

A copy of the town of Stark’s General Assistance ordinance can be provided to you upon request at the office during regular business hours or by clicking on the link below.

General Assistance applications must be reviewed and a written decision determined within 24 hours of the application submission.

 

Violations of this process can be reported to the Department of Health and Human Services at 1-800-442-6003.
